Sometimes, as photographers, we get to keep little (or not-so-little) secrets. And this one truly melted my heart.

Elien reached out to me because they wanted a couple shoot by the sea. Something relaxed, full of movement and freedom. She even sent me a mood board and I instantly felt it - this is exactly my thing. It wasn’t just my style, it was who they are.

An adventurous couple, in love with traveling, sports and living life to the fullest.

But… there was someone else with us that day. A tiny secret, hidden in her belly. This shoot wasn’t just a couple session - it was also their way of announcing that they’re expecting. I had to keep it quiet for a few weeks until they were ready to share it themselves.

We created something really special together. Yes, it got a little chilly towards the end, but that gave the photos the raw, real vibe they wanted.
